Case stories – ngā kōrero whānau
These stories convey the experiences of three women, their whānau and community workers as they went through the process of involvement with Oranga Tamariki. They are based on interviews with women and the key community-based worker who worked with them during this time. The complex nature of the life struggles and situations of each woman in their particular context is told from her perspective, while including the perspective of the key worker provides helpful knowledge about successful systems and practices. Each story provides insightful reflections on relationships, rights, systems and agency.
